Data sheet · 2 min read · HSC Physics
The data sheet is the cheat code you're allowed to use.
Find any formula in five seconds, use the right constants, and know what isn’t printed.
Step 1 · Map
Know the mapFour sections: motion and gravity, waves, electricity and magnetism, quantum and nuclear. Know which one holds each formula.Step 2 · Constants
Use the sheet’s constantsUse its values (g = 9.8 m s⁻², its G, its electron mass) so your answer lines up with the marking guide.Step 3 · Derive
Some results aren’t printedv = √(GM/r) and r = mv/qB aren’t on the sheet. Set the two forces equal and derive them in one line.Step 4 · Your sheet
Practise with your year’s sheetHSC 2026 and 2027 both use the 2019 data sheet. The Toolkit and every paper use it too, so Earth’s mass is 6.0 × 10²⁴ kg.

- List it. Convert it. Then substitute.
- Big questions: hit every part, link it, prove it.
- "Explain" means because. "Evaluate" means judge.
- The investigations to know: method, graph and error.
- Re-reading isn't revising. Testing yourself is.
- Read the verb, count the marks, then write.
